Perfect lie : Perfect life

  Picture Perfect  How many times, did you ever scroll on your phone on any social media app wether it is youtube, instagram or Tik Tok, and couldn't help but tell yourself "gosh I wish I had her life".  Personally, I've said that on multiple occasions, whether it was while I'm watching those aesthetic set up videos, or day in the life of high school student etc...  Their lives seem perfect within every aspect, the food they consume, the products they use, their styles, a great social position, supportive friends and family, overall steady and neat lives, that can't be achieved by the normal person unfortunately.  The main users of Social Media are undeniably teenagers, with screen times exceeding 10hours per day.  That addictive movement of scrolling and the dopamine they receive makes it hard to quit and focus on yourself and personal activities and development.  Some are very much aware of the situation and that what they see is only a 1% part of th...

Surroundings

People you choose to surround yourself with, impact you in a way or another.  You may have heard, read or stumbled across this quote somewhere : "you are who you surround yourself with". I can assure you that it is a fact. This year, I decided to conduct an experiment on myself, not quite directly but I rather just observed my attitude near different groups of people.  Let's start with my siblings, when I am around them, I tend to be more authoritarian, firm, which is probably due to my status as the older sibling, sometimes chaotic and loving too! Sibling chemistry is really weird, I can give them my kidneys but not my favorite tee-shirt!  When I am with the group A, a group that is very much interested in video games, laid back, my vocabulary tends to shift to the one you can find on video games, many terms I employ such as "respawn", or "one shot", stuff like that..
