You are being judged, by your cover.

Daily, we keep hearing, seeing, and maybe saying this quote "never judge a book by it's cover".

But, take a little moment, and think : do you really live by this quote ? do you really apply it in your daily life ?

Appearance is a key factor in our modern world.

When you enter a room full of people, and observe your surroundings, based on people's appearance, mannerism, body language, you kind of feel, judge, and label those people in your subconscious.

For example, an elegant lady with a designer bag, impeccable clothing style, polished nails, nude pink coffin shaped, snatched waist, beautiful hair and makeup, your subconscious leads you to thinking this woman is living a comfy life, probably upper class, very important in society.
Whereas if you see another woman, basic clothing, tired features, kinda messy hair, you deduce that her situation is not as bright.

Judging is part of our human nature. But judging needs to come with a long process of thinking, without concluding too fast based on the cover only.

I do certainly think that every human needs to be presentable, because it is the first impression to give off, the first look, how you present yourself to the public eye and society in general.

I mean, when you enter a library, there are thousands of books waiting for you to consult, but you pick the first one because it intrigued you. You don't know the content of that book, but the cover attracted you because of maybe it's bright color, polished appearance, nice illustrations etc...

Don't fall into the trap, after the first look phase, don't have fast conclusions, read the summary behind to see if the attractive nature of the cover fits the content.

And that is exactly what you should do when you enter that room full of people.

Maybe the elegant lady you have met earlier in the room full of people isn't that elegant morally, and the energy that her looks radiate is not that bright when you get to know her.
Maybe the woman with a difficult situation is not really strugling, but rather she is just carefree about looks and have other priorities.

What you have to remember from this article :

You can judge people, but judge in a smart way. Take in count the cover, a.k.a the appearance, but judge based on other parameters such as ideologies,  radiated energy and attitude.
You are not the only one judging here, everybody is.
